I was given my Great Grandmother’s ceramic fruit colander a month ago and noticed your signature. My grandmother was always someone I looked up to. She had an eye for stylish, yet clean and simple design. The fruit colander is a perfect example of her style. I would like to know how I may go about purchasing more pieces.
Hi – my website is quailrunpottery.com. You can also call me at 757-566-1990. We can talk about what you’re interested in, and I can snap some shots of pots I have on my shelves. I love hearing the stories of how pots travel through the generations of family, and I’m happy to know that you have a pot that reminds you of your grandmother and great-grandmother. And a very useful pot at that!
Dear Elizabeth, I purchased a (canning) funnel of yours online (eBay) years ago. It is signed. (I was curious and looked you up!) It is truly unique & special. I absolutely love & use it frequently.
Tammy — Thanks for looking me up! I haven’t made canning funnels for years, but there is one in my kitchen drawer, and I continue to use it often. Maybe I should start making them again!
I am tickled to have inherited two of your pieces from my mother. One is like a soufflé dish ( 8” diameter and 4” deep with straight vertical sides) another is like a very deep pie plate. She used them as serving pieces but I am wondering if I can bake or microwave them.
Absolutely! They are fine in the oven, fine in the microwave, fine in the dishwasher. Hope you enjoy your mother’s pieces for a long time. I am curious to know where your mother lived — I am sometimes surprised to find how far my pots have traveled.
Elizabeth , I purchased about 6 pieces of yours at a home show in Columbia SC somewhere about 2004-5 . You had a friend or family member at U of SC. I purchased a small lamp and it’s been a favorite but was broken today. I’d like to replace it and see what else you are making. How can I purchase items?
Carol
Carol — Sorry for the extended delay in responding. I was away all summer, and had little to no access to internet. What color and size was the lamp that broke?
